Twisted Threads Studio is a family owned business, based in the heart of East Gippsland. Our spacious studio houses a range of fabrics, specialising in patchwork and quilt making. We also stock a wide range of haberdashery items, as well as kits, patterns and books for all kinds of craft and sewing projects.

 

Our founder, Wilhelmina Rijs, has loved working with textiles and yarn her entire life, since first picking up knitting needles and crochet hooks as a young child. She then went on to study textile design, and later turned her focus on quiltmaking. Wilhelmina's love of textiles and craft culminated in the establishment of Twisted Threads Studio in Johnsonville, in 2013.

Sewing groups run weekly, and workshops are also on offer throughout much of the year, including beginner's sewing, bag making, and patchworking.

Due to popular demand, Twisted Threads Studio hopes to soon be adding to our fabric selection, offering dance fabrics and trimmings. So you can make the perfect outfit for your budding dancer!
